CENTRAL PLAINS CANCER CARE SERVICES 2009
In the coming year, clinical therapist Don Middleton, M.A. (Psychology) and Candice Kontzie (Equine Specialist) along with their ‘horse’ assistants will continue to offer their highly successful retreats and workshops to the families in the 70 communities served by Central Plains Cancer Care Services.
WHY HORSES? – You will find the horses have an awe inspiring presence and possess the ability to touch your heart while lessening the burden of anxiety, worry and pain. Horses have the ability to be gifted guides and gentle facilitators leading you to personal growth and peace within. As herd and prey animals, horses are very adept at perceiving subtle shifts in your feelings and energy. They will teach you how to become more aware of and stabilize both your emotional and physical wellbeing. You will find that all sessions with the horses are done easily and safely from the ground so no prior experience is necessary. You will always feel safe, supported and respected.
Gourmet food and great fun are also key ingredients of all the retreats and workshops. Videos and photographs of past retreats and workshops are available for viewing.

****Note 2: For individuals and families dealing with cancer in the Central Plains Cancer Care Services region, there is no cost to attend these retreats or workshops.****
